Jim has been living in the Austin, Buda, and Kyle areas since 1981 after relocating from Ohio where he started in the drywall business as a stocker. He started at the bottom and worked his way up. In 1976 Jim went into business as Foulkrod Drywall and Construction. Then in 1981, Foulkrod Custom Drywall was created. He has experience in all aspects of drywall including stocking, hanging, finishing, texturing and repair work. In addition to his drywall company, Jim built and manages Foulkrod Business Park, LP leasing office warehouse space and has designed and built several custom homes and other projects. Jim is also an avid outdoorsman, who enjoys bowhunting at his 900 acre ranch in South Texas and anywhere else possible.

From its beginning in 1981, Foulkrod Custom Drywall initially focused on residential construction but later incorporated and has expanded to also include painting and a great deal more commercial contracts including motels, condominiums, restaurants, and service stations, to name a few. Our company has a great staff of full-time office employees and knowledgeable field repairmen, as well as reliable sub-contractors, and an excellent relationship with our suppliers and bankers. We offer the complete turn-key drywall package from supplying the materials to painting the finished product. The “hang through painting” package has been very well received by our builders – one contractor responsible for it all. We pride ourselves on our quality workmanship, timely completion and professional customer service.
